Anytime you open a new business, large or small, you must list all assets with our Business Listing Office for taxation. All current businesses must list even if you have no changes. Listing begins in January and you must list in January to avoid late penalties. Business Listing also requires you to list farm equipment if it is income producing and also you have to list your aircraft.

NEW BUSINESS FOR 2026
If a New Business was in operation after January 1st, 2025 and this is the first time being listed in Davidson County, North Carolina, please click on the link below for a 2026 Business Personal Listing Form. A Listing Form is required to be completed and returned to the Tax Office no later than January 31st, 2026.
