2026 Property Revaluation Appeals
Property owners who have timely appealed their 2026 property values do not need to take any additional action regarding their appeals. Those appeals will still be reviewed. However, if an appeal results in a change to a property’s value, that change will now be applied to the 2027 tax year rather than 2026, as required by the new legislation.
The appraisers do not dictate real property value. Each appraiser has certain areas within the county and the neighborhoods therein. The collect data, such as issued permits, recent sales transactions, and other essential information in order to insure equity in valuations. Property value assessment is necessary to establish a tax base for the county and to determine an equitable distribution of the tax burden.
The revaluation appeal deadline has expired for the 2026 Tax Year. If you filed an appeal on or before April 30, 2026, the appraisal staff will continue to review your submitted appeal and contact you as soon as possible.
