Published soil surveys are provided to the public on request. The information is provided both as a printed manual and as a web-based application. Interpretations are provided on request.
Soil test kits are provided to land users to determine appropriate soil amendments (lime and fertilizer) to ensure desired plant growth. The testing services are provided by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Staff members assist in the interpretation of the results.
