The Davidson County Inspections Department strives to ensure construction of safer buildings through code enforcement. The Davidson County Inspections Department is authorized by the North Carolina General Statutes to enforce the North Carolina State Building Code.
Our primary function is to accept plans for review and issuance of building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits. We also issue permits for modular and manufactured homes as well as demolition, signs, renovation and swimming pools. We are responsible for the enforcement of the Floodplain Ordinance and the compliance of all structures within the county relative to the Building Code.
