Parks and Recreation

The Davidson County Parks and Recreation Department strives to offer the citizens of Davidson County all types of different recreation activities, from leisure programs, special events, trails, playground, etc. Our staff works hard to keep our facilities clean and safe for all to use.

Goals

The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to provide a diverse range of activities for all ages and both sexes, regardless, of race, creed, or color. The recreation programs are offered on a year around basis and represent a balance of indoor and outdoor activities. The programs are not concerned with the quantity of recreation, but with the quality. 


Hughes Park Field Rentals:

All organizations and renters will be required to submit a requests for consideration for each season. This change is intended to create a fair and equitable process for all participants.
I have attached the new Application Packet. Please, read over and if interested email your request for consideration form by 7/6/2026.

We are first come, first served, we will manage this by date applications are received. This way we have a date and time recorded.
