Boone's Cave Park is located in western Davidson County. The park is 100 acres and offers hiking trails through a secluded rolling forest of mixed hardwoods reminiscent of the North Carolina Mountains. Forty-six acres of the park are designated as a Natural Heritage Site and are host to a number of wildflowers normally only found in the Appalachian Mountains.

Boone's Cave Park Shelter Fee

  • Boone's Cave Park has one shelter that can be rented .
  • Please call Boone's Cave Park to rent shelter at 336-752-2322.
  • Shelter Rental Fees: Partial Day is $50.00 and Full Day is $75.
  • Partial Rental Times: 8:00 am - 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm
  • Full Rental Time: 8:00 am - 7:30 pm

Primitive Camping Fees

  • Boone's Cave Park has two primitive campsites that can be rented. Primitive Campsite has 4 camping pads. Semi-Primitive Campsite has 8 camping pads (located near restrooms).
  • Please call Boone's Cave Park to rent primitive camping site at 336-752-2322.
  • Camping Fees: Day $3.00 per camping site pad, Week $15.00 per camping site pad.
  • Firewood can be purchased $2.00 per bundle.
  • At closing time the park gates will be locked. Staff will give campers emergency number to call in the event of emergency.

Canoe / Kayak Access
There is a canoe/kayak access trail from the parking lot to the river, to make it easier to launch or carry out from the river. Please note that Boone's Cave Park is only an access point for kayaks and canoes. We are not an outfitter, and do not offer a shuttle service. We do not rent kayaks, canoes, or personal flotation devices. If you are going to leave a vehicle at the park while kayaking or canoeing, you must get a parking pass and park in the designated area. Please talk to park staff before you unload your supplies.
 

Wildlife & Foliage

 
  • Be sure to bring your binoculars when visiting to catch a glimpse of our spring and fall migrant birds. Boone's Cave Park is also home to all types of wildlife including:
  • Amphibians, Deer, Squirrels, Raccoons, Reptiles, and Wild Turkey
  • As you hike along the Boone's Cave Park trails be on the lookout for one of nearly fifty native wildflowers. North Carolina's prized Eastern Cottonwood tree is 169 feet tall, the trunk is 16 feet around, and the canopy is 109 feet wide. The Cottonwood tree is located along the shore of the Yadkin River.
Disc Golf Course:
 A 18 hole Disc Golf course is now located at the park.  Course is open during park hours. 
 Disc Golf discs are available from the Park Attendants. Disc must be returned to Park Attendants after completion of round. If disc is lost or damaged a $10 reimbursement fee must be paid to Park Attendant when returning disc after the round. Renters must leave personal information (driver's license, etc.) with Park staff and will be returned when disc are returned.
