SRO Division

The School Resource Officer division consists of 16 deputies assigned to the public schools in Davidson County. Every middle and high school in the county has an assigned SRO and serve their elementary feeder schools. In addition to those SROS, there is an SRO assigned solely to the elementary schools and a College Resource Officer (CRO) assigned to Davidson County Community College.

The School Resource Officer division is under the direction of Captain Brian Grubb. Captain Grubb is a 27year law enforcement veteran beginning his career with the Lexington Police Department as a patrol officer before becoming School Resource Officer at Lexington High School. He came to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in 2004 to continue his career as an SRO. He began as SRO at Tyro Middle School before moving on to West Davidson High School, North Davidson High School, and Central Davidson High School. Captain Grubb achieved his advanced law enforcement certificate in 2007 and was promoted to Lieutenant of the division in 2011 before being promoted to SRO Captain in 2019.
