Commissioner Watford has been married to Samuel Watford of Thomasville for 40 years, has two daughters, Jordan Lupton and Morgan Watford.  Commissioner Watford has two grandchildren, Owen and Leah.

Professional Experience

Commissioner Watford is a graduate of East Davidson High School, attended Elon College and graduated with a B.A. degree in English from the University of NC at Greensboro.  Commissioner Watford taught for the Davidson County Schools at Central Davidson Middle, East Davidson High and North Davidson High from 1974-2011

Personal Information

Commissioner Watford has been involved with the Jaycees, and is active in the Republican party and Republican women of Davidson County.  At her church, Liberty Baptist of Thomasville she teaches, is in the choir and serves on various committees. Commissioner Watford is a board member for the Life Center of Lexington, Family Services of Davidson County, Davidson County Aging Planning Committee and is a member and trustee of the Thomasville Woman's Club.

Commissioner Watford is serving her second term on the Davidson County Board of Commissioners. Her term will expire December, 2026.
